The Vinegar Cupboard with Angela Clutton

Learn how to use this miracle ingredient to transform your cooking

Talk + Tasting + Dinner, Monday 24th June, Tickets, £65

Vinegar is an everyday ingredient with an ancient and compelling history and plays a very important role in cooking, yet it’s often overlooked, relegated to the back of the cupboard and brought out only for predictable uses.  Not anymore! We’re delighted to have Angela Clutton, writer, food historian, cook and author of the award-winning The Vinegar Cupboard, here at The Picklery on 24th June to share her knowledge in a talk and tasting on this miracle ingredient.

Angela’s new book The Vinegar Cupboard is a timely publication; with the recent upsurge of interest in fermentation, gut health and the use of acidity in cooking, vinegar is experiencing a culinary revival.  In this session Angela will introduce you to the history, production, taste and cooking uses of some of her favourite vinegars from around the world, demonstrating the unique role they play in cooking.  Accompanying the talk and tasting will be a 5-course menu, showcasing the use of these vinegars as an ingredient.

Date: Monday 24th June, 7pm and includes talk + tasting + 5-course menu + drink on arrival.  Tickets £60.  Books will also be available to buy on the night
